Missouri Valley Conference partners with StatBroadcast for basketball championships

ST. LOUIS, MO. -- The Missouri Valley Conference has selected StatBroadcast Systems as its technology partner for the 2011 MVC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, company president Nate Policar announced today. The MVC will use StatBroadcast's StatMonitr technology to provide wireless stat monitors and web-based statistics for credentialed media, as well as StatBroadcastLive technology to provide fans with real-time statistics via the web and mobile devices.

"We're proud to announce a partnership with the Missouri Valley Conference for their basketball tournaments this March," said Policar. "We were fortunate enough to bring conference members Creighton and Bradley on board in 2010 as well as provide this service for the men's and women's soccer tournaments last fall, and we're happy to be able to continue to and expand upon the services we can provide for the MVC. It's always been our firm belief that non-BCS conferences should have access to the same technologies and services as the AQ conferences."

The Missouri Valley Men's Basketball Championship takes place in St. Louis, Mo. from March 3 to March 6, 2011 at the Scottrade Center. The Women's Championship is from March 10 to March 13, 2011 in St. Charles, Mo. at The Family Arena. The men's tournament, named Arch Madness, is the nation's second-longest running conference tournament held at a neutral site and is entering its 21st consecutive year in St. Louis. The MVC is the second oldest Division I athletic conference, founded in 1907, and currently has ten members: Bradley University, Creighton University, Drake University, University of Evansville, Illinois State University, Indiana State University, Missouri State University, University of Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois University and Wichita State University.
